Fundraising for Circus In The Park

Gasworks Arts Park is looking for the generous support of individuals to donate towards the production of Circus In The Park, brand new and exciting outdoor circus performances in our parkland during Summer 2023. 

From the creators of Circus Under The Stars in 2021 and Sunset Circus and Champagne Cabaret in 2022, comes two brand new circus productions! Suitcase Circus & Hot Summer Nights! will hit the outdoor stage at Gasworks Arts Park this summer.

Suitcase Circus

‘Suitcase Circus’ is a magical and thrilling circus show for the whole family featuring some of Australia’s finest, award winning circus performers.

There are acrobats, agile and athletic, defying gravity as they tumble and roll and create human towers on each other’s shoulders.

There are aerialists, elegant and strong, plunging down the silks and being flung across the stage.

There are jugglers and balancers, skilful and dexterous, as they manipulate with incredible timing and focus.

There is something for everyone!

Get ready to pack your bags and be astounded and amazed at the whole cast and their antics presenting a hilarious and mesmerising hour of magical Circus entertainment for the young and young at heart.

You will never look at a suitcase in the same way ever again.

Hot Summer Nights!

‘Hot Summer Nights!’ is an outrageous adults-only circus cabaret show featuring a hand-picked cast of some of Australia’s top circus performers and hosted by multi award winning cabaret star Tash York.

A non-stop steamy celebration of the cheeky, the awe-inspiring and the downright sexy.

Get ready for neon lights, incredible vocals and mind-bobbling feats of strength and skill, a night of eye-popping entertainment and frivolity with high glam and loads of glitter, all taking place in a stunning Open-air theatre.

Hot Summer Nights! is a big joyous toast to the long summer nights, an evening under the stars that you won’t want to end and will remember long after the final glittery bow.

Why We Need Your Help

Staging performances outside utilises the park which is particularly relevant as we move to a  post-COVID world, offering fresh air, social distancing, and an opportunity to enjoy an uplifting and enjoyable activity outside of the home.

But we need your help with making these productions a reality! Due to the nature of these outdoor performances, there are additional costs involved such as equipment hire, freight charges to bring the rigging onto site, specialist technicians and rigging staff.

As such, we are looking to raise $10,000 to assist with the delivery of this fantastic community event.
