Fundraising for Circus Under The Stars
Gasworks Arts Park is looking for the generous support of individuals to donate & help us produce a brand-new and exciting outdoor production in our parklands,
Circus Under The Stars. Support the creation and development of this new circus performance by giving a tax-deductible donation to help us deliver this quality artistic program.
Circus Under The Stars
This new and exciting program will be a brilliant performance of a variety of circus acts taking place in the parklands at Gasworks Arts Park.
Performed by Castlemaine-based ensemble Red Canvas Productions, Circus Under The Stars is an all-ages, family friendly circus cabaret show hosted by the amazing songstress Aurora Kurth. A jam packed hour of non-stop tricks from some of Australia's best circus performers all in the open-air with the majestic night sky as the backdrop.
There will be a huge outdoor open-air trapeze in the middle of the park. Circus Under The Stars is a variety show with a cast of five performing acts including foot juggling, aerial straps, handstands, chair balancing, washington trapeze, aerial cloud swing, juggling, and hula-hoops.
Why We Need Your Help
Staging such a performance outside utilises the park which is particularly relevant during COVID-19, offering fresh air, social distancing, and an opportunity to enjoy an uplifting and enjoyable activity outside of the home.
But we need your help with making this production a reality! Due to the nature of this outdoor performance, there are additional costs involved such as equipment hire, freight charges to bring the rigging onto site, specialist technicians and rigging staff.
As such, we are looking to raise $10,000 to assist with the delivery of this fantastic community event. We are encouraging small donations of $20 - $50 to assist with making this production come to life, but all donations are appreciated and any amount over $2 is completely tax-deductable.
We hope to share this amazing experience with you in the summer of 2021, so stay tuned with the latest updates on our progress by subscribing to our monthly e-news here.
