Nat Campbell – artist statement

I photograph birds in their native habitats in and around Melbourne-to me they are a point of connection between city life and the untamed, natural world. With attention to light, colour, and form, I seek to create intimate portraits that highlight their ravishing beauty, their playfulness and their complete indifference to our manmade rules.

Nicholas McConnell – artist statement

I create three-dimensional birds. I am strongly inspired by their combs and crests which are rich in colour. Their feathers make each bird individual in character.
