Gasworks Script Lab

This free, immersive playwriting development program, to be presented in partnership with Melbourne Writers’ Theatre, will be offered at Gasworks Arts Park for the first time in 2023. Gasworks Script Lab is designed for participants of all skill levels – from writers/aspiring writers who have never written for the stage but are interested in exploring the craft of playwriting to experienced playwrights with production credits. Gasworks Script Lab is open to all Victorian-based writers living in the City of Port Phillip and beyond. 

Gasworks Script Lab is a multi-stage writing program. Participants are expected to commit to attending all workshops, script developments and showcase events. 

Applications open on Monday 1st May, 9am. Your completed EOI must be submitted by Friday 19th May, 5pm. Selection will be made by a panel from Melbourne Writers' Theatre & Gasworks Arts Park, and all applicants will be notified of the outcome on Monday 5th June.
