Cinda Manins

Cinda’s creative practice explores the concepts of temporality, permanence and impermanence, and the relationship of humanity to the earth, particularly in the context of the Anthropocene.

She sees landscape as the ideal vehicle to explore form, texture, and wonder at the scale of time and how Earth stores its memory. The construction of each artwork is guided by the qualities of her materials, and the philosophies of Humanism and Wabi-sabi. She has been a resident artist at Gasworks Arts Park in Albert Park since 2019. As well as offering excellent facilities to undertake and progress Cinda’s creative practice, her studio at Gasworks brings her great joy. She loves being in the park surrounded by nature, the fact she can bring her dog to work, and the invaluable friendships she has developed with other resident artists.

Cinda studied Ceramics at Ballarat Uni, has a B.A. Anthropology & Media, and a Graduate Diploma in Museum Studies.
