17:00 - 18:00
A twilight night with beloved indie-pop singer-songwriter, Angie Hart, that promises both nostalgic and new music. From Ordinary Angels to a collection of yet-to-be-released songs, Angie shares her stories and songs from an extensive back-catalogue that spans three decades, including Frente, solo works, plus the occasional homage to her influences along the way (we’re looking at you, New Order). Expect candid and heartfelt tales about songs that you grew up with, plus tunes that you will be the first to hear. One of this country’s most unique and well-traveled songwriters, Hart’s deft lyrical twists and a vocal purity that has maintained its truth over time, makes them a heavenly match that pulls no punches.
Fresh off the back of a national tour with her band-where-it-all-began – Frente, this will be the first solo performance since recording her latest album (to be released in 2025). Angie will be accompanied on the night by Kate Lucas, of Coda Chroma – an artist who is equally prolific and deftly talented in her own right. Kate has a classically-trained intricate guitar style and a voice that could convince a captain to abandon ship. This, plus the fact that Kate features heavily on the forthcoming album and therefore knows the new songs like they were old friends makes her the perfect addition.
This exclusive night under the eucalypts will have you swooning with good feels. If that sounds like a good deal to you, then you’ll be mad not to come along and experience it all at the idyllic setting of Gasworks Arts Park. It’s an urban-nature wonderland for all ages.
