Collective Energy
Janice Lawton - Cecilia Morris - Karen Camilleri - Maria Leoni
November 517, 2024
Collective Energy brings together four women of different backgrounds, ages, art genres and interests to become a strong, supportive group with the common goal of practicing art to enrich lives.

Karen Camilleri: For me, the act of painting is a life force, it is an emotional and spiritual need, a healing balm. My soul intention is to be fully in the moment and to relish the creative process when the magic begins.

Janice Lawton: In my artwork I endeavour to create textures using multiple layers, leading to endless possibilities, stretching me out of my comfort zone. I use recycled materials, including my own old artworks, in collages, paintings, printing, and sculpting. I create to invoke an emotion, trigger a memory, or represent an experience.

Maria Leoni: I combine my photographic expertise with a meticulously curated collection of images to create visually opulent compositions of hyper-natural beauty. These layered, superimposed photographs place the viewer on an illusionary threshold that readily serves as a gateway to other psychological or even spiritual domains.

Cecilia Morris: My objectives remain constant; to observe the world around me, to chase colour, light, and mood. To keenly observe nature in all its aspects whether clouds, florals, landscapes or at times to let my imagination take over. Loose painting seems to sum up my technique.
