Enmeshed
- Gloria Sulli, Angela Rossitto, and Jamie Mumford

September 29–October 4, 2026
Monday to Saturday: 10am - 4.30pm, Sunday: 10am - 3pm

Enmeshed presents sculptural and installation works that emerge from an understanding of our entanglement with the natural world, and an awareness that nothing exists alone. The materials used are recycled and become active collaborators in the creative process, allowing memory, imagination, and natural patterns to emerge through the artist’s sustained engagement with them. The artworks interpret the concept of reciprocity within the surrounding environment.

Gloria Sulli’s inflatable sculptures move with the flow of air, reminding us that breath links us to every other living creature.

Through processes of transformation, Angela Rossitto collaborates with materials seeking to de-stabilise human exceptionalism while creating works that are evocative of hybrid animals.

Jamie Mumford reimagines microscopic life through speculative sculptural forms, inviting reflection on the strange process of mutation, transmission and interconnection that shape living systems.

Enmeshed invites visitors to slow down and to perceive the weight and texture of a world that is always interconnected. These works of art offer a tactile remedy, a reminder that we are deeply enmeshed with nature.

Please join the artists in the gallery for an Exhibition Opening Event on Saturday, October 3rd, 2-4pm

About the artists

Gloria Sulli explores our relationship with nature through drawing, sculpture, and installation. Her work centres on themes of life, expansion and contraction, evolution and extinction. The breath, as the regulator of life’s precarious balance, is a recurring motif, commanding movements that mirror natural cycles. Her inflatable works express wild ecological consciousness and fascination with textures.

Angela Rossitto’s contemporary sculptural and textile-based practice transforms found and ordinary materials using handcraft techniques such as knitting, weaving, and mending to create large-scale, site-responsive installations. Through these techniques she collaborates with materials and seeks to de-stabilise the supposed supremacy of humans. Her work explores themes including deep time, materiality, connection and artificial life.

Jamie Mumford’s art practice is inspired by her work as a medical scientist, where she studies microorganisms and cellular structures. As an artist, she moves from scientific observation into a space of playful abstraction, where the real and imagined converge. Her work expands microscopic phenomena into sculptural space, inviting reflection on the complexity and strangeness of living systems.
